Drug Intervention Program Professional Development Conference

Keynote Speaker - Douglas B. Marlowe is the Director of the Division on Law & Ethics Research at the Treatment Research Institute (TRI) and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine. A lawyer and clinical psychologist by background, Dr. Marlowe's research focuses on the role of coercion in drug abuse treatment, the effects of drug courts and other diversion programs for drug-abusing offenders, and behavioral treatments for substance abusers and criminal offenders. He has published over 80 professional articles and book chapters on the topics of crime and drug abuse and is on the editorial boards of the journals, the Drug Court Review and Criminal Justice & Behavior. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP), on which he serves as Chair of the Research Committee and the Drug Policy Reform Committee.
